There is nice variety on these trails, from flat open grassy, to hilly, rocky with everything in betwee. You can easily do an all day ride :).

Palmra Wi has Horsemans Park, where you can camp with your horses, and ride in either direction for a great experience -- from easy to difficult. Some trails are rocky, I suggest shoes or boots for the horses's front feet at a minimum, although some do ride barefoot, it's rather rough on the horses after a few miles without something. The campground has been improved over the past few years, there is water and bathrooms, but no electric hookups. Campsites have pull through, a few are back-in, most have tie posts and picnic tables and fire rings. Lots of group activities occur, so check before you come to see if spaces need reservations. There is a large day-riders parking area.

New campgound is done up very nice, easy gravel parking areas, toilet , tie ups, campfire pits and benches. I think some sites have electric and more are being put in. Trails are mild to a bit rocky and hilly in some spots. Many directional trail options. Go to link....http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Wisconsin_Riders_In_Southern_Trails/ ...and feel free to ask any questions . If in a pinch, I have two stalls/2 turnouts/2 padocks open in my 4 stall new barn, and a mother in law aptmt(LR/FB/FK/Parking for up to 4 cars) to lent here on my place just one mile from the trails.
