I spent a week here with my teenage granddaughters and we had a great time! Most of the sites are large enough for two rigs. Only 4 sites have paddocks and Reserve America does not tell you which ones. Plenty of water for horses and potable water was available when we were there but have been told by others to bring drinking water. Weather was fantastic! Although I had an old map, the trails we used were well marked. We did run into a couple motorcyclists but they were very friendly and turned off bikes as we passed. We are going back this year with the whole family and some friends for a week in July

I really enjoyed this campground and would have rated it four stars if it wasn't right next to the heavily used highway 20. The trails that we could find were good but the system was difficult for us to figure out even with the help of a map from the ranger station. I do think that the Gold Country Trail Council does a wonderful job keeping the trails in shape. It is fairly dusty there. We enjoyed the abundance of wildflowers and there was some potable water available. We were lucky not to run into many motorcycles even on such a beautiful weekend.

Very easy to get to. Spacious campspots. I don't need to have a stall as I tie to my trailer. There were at least 50 rigs at the AERC event this past Memorial Day and we all fit just fine. The trails were wet and they can get slippery but this happened to be that weekend that took us all by surprise and RAINED cats and dogs! Will definitely go back just to pleasure ride/camp~!

Go in early spring, gets dusty and rocky fast. Trails are nice and challenging too. Different levels. Beware of motorcycles on the trails. Nice horse facilities, but nothing special for people, just outhouse toilet. Rustic but very fun to ride.
