This was a great trail ride through the cool pine forest and over very sandy trails. The paths for the horses were wide and dry, for the most part. Some of the trail was under water at the low/bottoms but the horses splashed or waded through easily. We did not encounter other riders and enjoyed the peace and quiet of the area. Of course we heard lots of bird sounds and the horses were startled a time or two by quail flying up from thickets. We rode for 3 1/2 hours and did not begin to cover the whole area. All in all, we had a pleasant ride.
