Trail Description Trails are hilly and rolling, some areas rocky or muddy, mostly wooded. Many small lakes and ponds. Bridge over small stream.

Times to Avoid Michigan Deer Hunting Season (November/December)
Campground 25 rustic campsites with fire pits and picnic tables. Picket posts for horses. Water available through hand pump. Pit toilets. Some sites shaded and some full sun. No electric, showers, or running water.

Directions From I-69 and M-15 (Exit 145), go south on M-15 and turn left (east) on Hegel Rd. From I-75 and M-15 (exit 91), go north on M-15 and turn right (east) on Hegel Rd. Go about 5.5 miles on Hegel Rd to Hadley Rd. Turn right (south) on Hadley Rd and go about 1.5 miles to Fox Lake Rd. Turn right (west) on Fox Lake Rd and go about .75 miles. The campground is on the right (north) side of the road.

(Gently sloping or level terrain; trails are groomed or wide open; shallow or no creek crossings. ) 
 More Difficult (Moderate hills over consistent surface; possibly some narrow trails and short steeper slopes) 
 Rigorous (Easy to More Difficult for rider but physically challenging for horse such as on a level surface through deep sand) 
 Challenging (Possible rocky, uneven surface, steep slopes, uncleared trails, faster flowing streams and other obstacles that lead to more difficult riding for rider and horse)
