Trail Description We are now open for Camping year round!!Book 24 hours a day at www.Lazygranch.org !! Our new Camp grounds are in the meadow right next to a creek! Each camp site boasts its own trail head 10 foot to 30 foot long, leading to the creek, a wooden picnic table, apple tree, Charcoal BBQ pit and plenty of space for 10 people or more! We currently a Volley Ball Net, 30 foot long swing set & tether ball There is a six mile loop on a historical wagon trail road that is perfect for horseback riding, bike riding or hiking. Walk just up the creek bed from the camp sites and find a hidden swimming hole... The water is still flowing enough for the kids to splash around in right at your camp site but if you would really like to take a dip then the swim hole may be just the thing for you! Sites include picnic table, charcoal BBQ pits, individual trail heads to the creek from each site (20 foot trails) access to porta potty, community volley ball net and tetherball in the meadow. Each site can accommodate up to 10 campers comfortably and 2 cars. There is over flow parking up by the entrance to the meadow and camp sites off of the dirt road. Lots of wild life including birds, great blue heron, deer, fox, rabbits, and so much more! There is direct access to hiking, biking trails and horseback riding trails. Camp sites are 3 miles off of the power grid in the Sierra Mountains, located in a secluded area on private property, backed up to the Stanislaus National Forest. We do not offer stalls or paddocks for horses (yet) but you are welcome to bring your own if camp site number one is available and to primitive boondock camp with them, please click the add on option. Unfortunately burning has been suspended in our area for the summer but we do offer tall out door patio heaters that provide for heat in the cool evenings and give a nice ambiance to your camping experience. The heaters are available during check out or you are welcome to bring your own. Location: Fort Jones, Calaveras County, CA.Nearby places to see: Calaveras Big Trees State Park, Columbia State Historic Park, Indian Grinding Rock, Stanislaus National Forest, San Antonio Creek Falls, White Pines Lake, Candy Rock Swim Hole and Cave, Mercer Caverns and Wine Tasting in the town of Murphys, CA.
