Campground was lovely, sites private, secure corrals for 2 horses. Water not turned on yet. Trails were abysmal. They were washed out ATV trails, extremely rocky or washed out. 12 mi. total, why so many horse sites with such limited trail mileage? Bushwhacking limited availability as cross fenced with barbed wire. TWH cover alot of ground and even traveling to another trail head, the riding was very steep with loose granite footing resulting in slipping. We could not trust that the horses could keep their footing, we turned around in less than a mile and went back to camp. Camp lovely, riding horrible. Certainly not worth the gas required to get there.

Campground has about 8 sites with only 2 having corrals. The corrals were broken down, I wold be hesitant to trust them. We highlined. They allow non-horse people to use them, so if not reserved, will not be available on weekends especially. Lake is crystal clear and beautiful. No incoming or outgoing streams, a beautiful view of Mt. McLoughlin from the lake. Trails not maintained, I ntook my 24" saw and took out what we couldn't get around. One trail completely obliterated by downfall, couldn't even find the trail. Disappointing would not recommend.

Lovely individual campsites and large group sites that can be reserved. Some camps no corrals, the rest only have 2 corrals per site. My big rig fit fine. Trails nice enough, heavily used, very DUSTY the main draw back. Maybe 2 days of riding. The biggest downfall is the awful hand pump for water. TG I had barrels and filled them at Lake of the Woods. They charge for each horse in addition to the site fee.
