So sad that we've been told this place is no longer in operation as of 2012 due to loss of trail access, no reason given. It was a really nice place.

We stayed here end of Sept and really liked the camp. Jo & Mrs Ellie were very accommodating. The camp was nice and trails were good also. There has been logging going on in places so some trails are not very pretty, but there is still plenty of pretty riding. The camp has about everything a person would want or need; they even provide trash cans and trash bags for each camp site. We will probably be back sometime and would definitely recommend it to others. (note: in the winter they winterize their shower house and lock it up)

Just came home from a campout for 4 days at J.D. Trails. Can't say enough good things about the Campground, the trails, and Jo and Ms Ellie were so hospitable. Excellent accomodations, super clean, roomy stalls in barn, with everything you need. Sites great, Pavillion is great for meals, nice gas grill, refrigerator provided. Also tv for weather updates. Nice clean bathouses. We will definately be back. Cowgirl Up, NW Arkansas

I have been going to J-D for about 3 years, I go twice a year and can't wait to go again. Jo and Ms Elly do a great job keeping every thing clean and stocked. The food is really good and plenty of it. I've been taking new people each time I go and they have loved it too! The other people I've met there have been wonderful, great place to bring the whole family! I still haven't been on all the trails.

We spent a week at this campground and have no complaints. The grounds, stalls, and bathrooms were excellent. We have done quite a bit of camping and have never stayed in a camp this clean. We were treated like family. Miss Ellie brought wonderful home baked goodies around every other day. Alot of the trails are logging roads but, mixed in with the trails it's not so bad. Jo and Linda work very hard to make sure every need is met. Very pleased with our visit and will definitely be returning.

It was our first time to visit J-D and we loved it. The drive there was as beautiful as the camp grounds. We have been to several in Ok, but this is the best one yet.We came with a group of 8.Jo came around to see if there was anything we needed or if there was anything she could do to make our stay there more comfortable. She already had everything we needed we could not even think of one thing. For those of you who like to watch T.V after your ride, she has a T.V. in the Pavillion or you can rent a cabin which has T.V's in all of them. We rented one of the cabins for our daughter it was wonderful. All you need to bring is your cloths and the food you wish to cook. Jo provides everything else. The bathrooms and showers were inpeccable. Miss Ellie was truly an inspritation. She went over and beyond with her wonderful brownies and cookies which she made for all the campers. Thank you Jo and Miss Ellie for making us feel like family. For all of you who have not been to J-D you are missing out on a wonderful view and great time. We enjoyed it so much,we are going back at the end of the month. Again Jo and Miss Ellie thank you for the wonderful time.

Stayed at J-B on May 29-30 with a friend and we had the absolute best time. Campground was impeccable with lots of extras, including linens, towels, rakes, wheelbarrows and even complimentary neosporin and bandaids after my horse and I bumped heads! The trails were wonderful - well marked challenging enough to be interesting, but not so challenging that they were intimidating. Beautiful scenery, especially on the canyon side. We will definitely be coming back for another trip. Thanks Jo and Miss Ellie - you made our trip wonderful!

Myself and a friend stayed on May 29 and 30th. The campground is incredible!! We immediatley noticed the cleanliness of the entire grounds!! The hospitality is incredible too. Jo and Ms. Ellie make you feel right at home and also make sure you have everything you need. I packed my own towels only to find that they had them there as well!! I know that is a little thing yet is stands out for me it just says that they certainly pay attention to detail!!. We went out with a group on Friday just to acclamate ourselves to the area and then rode out by ourselve on Saturday an Sunday. We rode in the open areas because we love seeing the views and WOW so spectacular!! So much area to cover and so little time. We will be going back in the fall. I would highly recommend this place.

Stalls were nice and our horses were very comfortable. The trails are exceptionally well-marked and offer a good variety from easy to challenging. One of the nicest camps we've visited... we're already planning a return trip in the Spring. Thanks again, Jo, for a wonderful ride!

We were so blessed to be able to visit J-D's Trail Riding Camp last month and we will be back many times. Although these trails are in the same mountain range as many others trail camps in this same area of OKlahoma, these trails are by far the most horse friendly, meaning very little rock. These new trails have beautiful landscapes with very soft and sandy trails...only some rock as you climb to the mountain tops. We will for sure be back again and again. Our visit was during black powder hunting season and we were limited to the south trails, which kept us busy for four days! But, we do look forward to the north side with the canyon ride. The cookies Ms. Ellie delivered to our campsite, made us feel right at home and Jo was very friendly and welcoming!!! You can't find more accomodating folks with everything being clean, clean, clean!!! Jo and Ms. Ellie....we love your place and we look forward to coming again real soon!!! God bless you both. There is electricity and water at each site as well as a picnic table and fire ring. All sites provide easy access to the trails. The pavilion and restroom facilities are top notch. I have always loved to go horse camping, but Jo made it the most enjoyable experience ever! It is about a four hour drive from where I live to J-D, and there are several other equestrian camps around that are a lot closer to where I live, but I can guarantee you it is worth the extra drive! My husband wasn't able to come with me on this trip, but just from the pictures and stories I told him, we are already counting the days until our next vacation so that we can come back! This was my first experience at J-D's, there were 12 in our group and we all had a great time. The trails challenged all riding levels and the scenary met all of our expectations. The campground is just big enough to accomodate enough campers to keep it interesting without becoming overcrowded. The facilties were immaculate and the campgrounds were well kept. Our hosts were always at hand to answer questions, guide us down the trail or help out with a sick horse. The hard work put into keeping this campground running smoothly was very much appreciated and speaks volumes about thier commitment to providing a safe and asthetically nice facility to enjoy the Kiamichi mountains. Definately a place to revisit.

Beautiful location. Easy access in and out of camp grounds. Trails were well marked with ribbons and location reference points which go along well with provided map. Facilities are top notch and hard to beat. Price was a bargain as well.
