Directions: Angeles crest hwy from either La canada, or Acton, go past charlton flats, chilao, and the newcomb ranch snack area. turn left onto the road marked for the religeous camp and go about 1 1/2 miles to both camps. from the camps you may access the PCT, the Silver moccasin trail, and several other fire breaks. Almost 7800 ft high so take it easy on horses until accustomed to altitude. ( You too!) Recommend first ride to chilao ranger station for addtional info and topo maps.
